BANDUNG – bank bjb continues to collaborate with various stakeholders to increase financial digitization through the implementation of QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesia Standard).
One of the efforts made is adapting to changes in people's behavior in the midst of Covid-19 pandemic outbreak, including almsgiving. For this reason, bank bjb signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nahdlaltul Ulama Mosque Takmir Institute to increase infaq and alms activities through digital QRIS payments.
The MoU signing ceremony was held on February 25, 2021 between bank bjb and the Nahdlaltul Ulama Mosque Takmir Institution in West Java. Through this cooperation, it is expected that it can provide convenience and comfort in giving donations & alms.
bank bjb hopes that with this digital payment facility, the congregation of NU mosque will no longer need to spend money physically so that it can reduce the physical contact congregants and administrators in maintaining Covid-19 health protocol.
Head of Corporate Secretary Division bank bjb, Widi Hartoto, said that the payment of infak via QRIS is a step to continuously introduce a cashless payment model that the company was always pushing. This digital infaq payment method is an arena for promoting a payment model without physical money in various types of transactions.

The implementation of transactions through QRIS Payment is one of the strategies that is currently the focus of the company. On the other hand, we also continue to educate the public by promoting various payment channels which is owned by bjb Digital Payment to further strengthen the cashless culture which is the future payment model," said Widi.
At the MoU signing, the health protocol was still implemented by keeping physical distance, wash hands and to use a mask.
