BANDUNG – Bank bjb employees’ hand over packages of food assistance to communities affected by disaster through bjb Great People Peduli program. Donations were handed over to residents affected by floods and landslides in a number of areas.
Head of Corporate Secretary Division of bank bjb Widi Hartoto said that the assistance provided through bjb GreatPeople Peduli program is a form of concern and support from the entire company for residents affected by floods in West Java. The aid was distributed to residents in areas affected by flash floods and landslides such as Subang, Sumedang, Majalengka, Karawang and Cilegon.
“The support provided through bjb GreatPeople Peduli program is part of concern of all bank bjb company people for our brothers and sisters who are affected by natural disasters. The concern of bank bjb employees will continue to be provided to those who need a helping hand as a form of devotion to the community," said Widi.
Distribution of assistance from bjb GreatPeople is carried out through a voluntary fundraising mechanism from all company personnel. The amount of assistance provided reached Rp. 100 million. bjb GreatPeople Peduli collaborates with Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) through the Food Package Operation Program to distribute the assistance.
The form of assistance that was distributed to the refugees was the provision of food packages at each evacuation point. This GreatPeople Cares bjb aid is distributed periodically on 23-25 February 2021.
"We hope that the assistance distributed by GreatPeople Peduli can provide benefits in easing the burden on our brothers, especially those who are still in refugee camps. Hopefully the impact of this disaster can be resolved quickly and all community can back to their normal activities," said Widi.
